Update on Immune Scores

Just heard from my doctor that my cd4 count is 123 and my igG is 438. Normal for cd4 is 250-300 so I still have some building to do. IgG is good.

PJ,
Can you explain what those #s signify.
Thanks,

Sue,
The cd4 count is the number of active t-cells in the blood. An Aids patient has a count similar to mine (123) and takes the same preventative meds. T-cells are more sophisticated than garden-variety white cell, that is they are immunilogically more sophisticated. WBC's can fight off a cold but RSV needs the t-cells.
